Ignite stands with youth on their journey to a home and future with promise. We envision a world where all young people have the support they need to be defined by their potential, not their circumstances. Ignite provides housing, supportive services, and a caring community of adults to over 590 youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Chicago each year.
The Ignite & Shine Gala brings together our community of supporters, advocates, clients, and staff to celebrate the young people we serve and expand the reach of our mission. It is a night to remember, filled with incredible stories, music, dining, and - most important - the opportunity to invest in a more equitable Chicago. Together, we can end youth homelessness.
This year's festivities will honor longtime partner Allstate as recipient of the Ignite the Way Award and The Marsal Family with the Tom O’Reilly Award in recognition of their leadership as changemakers in Chicago.
Entertainment will feature Bronzeville-based band, Mario Abney & the Abney Effect. Veteran Chicago journalist and community advocate Robin Robinson will emcee!
